Katya García-Antón is an Oslo based curator & director who has worked at The Courtauld Institute of Art,
Museo Nacional Reina Sofía Madrid, ICA London and IKON Birmingham. She was director of CAC Genève, OCA Norway & the Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum Tromsø/Bodø/Longyearbyen. She co-curated the first edition of Qalandiya Intenational, Jerusalem/Ramallah/West Bank (2012); and in Biennale Arte Venice she curated the Spanish Pavilion (2011), Nordic Pavilion (2015) as well as commissioned/co-curated the transformation of the Nordic Pavilion into The Sámi Pavilion (2022). In 2025 she curated The Epic public programme, Bukhara Biennial; contributed to TATE´s conference Indigenous Futures. Embodied Knowledges; and curated the conference Indigenous in Artshila, commissioned by TAKE on Art, Delhi. Upcoming projects include co-curating Guanches y Magos (2026) and curating Ithell Colquhoun (2028) for TEA Museum, Tenerife; as well as co-curating Threading Landscapes (2026), Park Abbey, Leuven. Recent publications incl.: The Word for World is Water. Worldbuilding and Creative Resistance Through Liquid Alliances (2026); Raven Chacon.
